hi, i have a similar problem like "windows vista blue screen", except i'm running xp sp3.

i'm always getting the bluesceen "Page-Fault-In-Nonpaged-Area" happens in p1120vid.sys. After that, my laptop reboots.

  • webcam internal (but i deactivated it in the system manager)
  • logitech quickcam connect with "QuickCam v11.5" drivers (you can get them here: http://logitech-louk.navisite.net/web/ftp/pub/techsupport/quickcam/qc1150.exe)
  • program is activated properly
  • sound device is choosen

if i disconnect the webcam and only have the internal one activated, all works fine. but yeah, not usable though.

do you know a fix for the problem with logitech webcams? i think the vista problem is the same.

thanks

thanks for the info!

we never encountered this "blue screen" problem... it seems related with this kind of webcams. Also others that don't get the blue screen have the program not running properly.

We will investigate on that, thanks for the precious info.

bye

Had the same problem but on XP Professional SP2, without an internal webcam - but same external (Logitech Quickcam with driver v11.5). Exactly the same issue - but I think that there was a different .SYS file involved.

Hello. We have been investigating the BSOD issue and here are a few pointers. From scavenging other forums it looks like the quickcam software may give problems also with other applications (skype, yahoo, etc..)

From people reports it seems that upgrading the driver may help (latest quickcam version is 11.90.x from http://www.logitech.com/index.cfm/support_downloads/&cl=us,en )

Other fixes we found (but not tested) include:

1- Uninstall logitech webcam 2- Go to microsoft.com 3- Under popular downloads 4- Select DirectX (should be 9.0c) 5- Download program (dxwebsetup.exe) 6 - Reboot 7- Install logitech webcam software

Another solution: Install the webcam in UVC mode (without the logitech drivers, Usb Video Class device)

1) Uninstall QuickCam. 2) Reboot. 3) Plug in the camera. 4) Windows will automatically install the generic Microsoft UVC drivers. • For Vista, do not alllow the PC to use Windows Update to search for drivers.

If someone has a chance to give these methods a try, please let us know by posting here. Thanks!

Hi!

On my laptop, win xp sp2 with logitech quickcam for notebook with both old and last (12.0.x) drivers, I had blue screen.

I tried without the logitech drivers, windows installs the usb composite driver, and some usb audio driver (the quickcam has a mic).

Still have bsod.

Then I uninstall webcam (not the logitech)drivers, dl Directx, reinstall drivers (not the logitech ones) retry. Still blue.

But actually I suspect that windows keeps the logitech drivers. I'll try to really clean and then retry later (it's quite boring to have to reboot every time).

Hello.

We just released version 0.3 of the drum machine. (on the download page)

You can now select which webcam to use from the configurator. This may solve some of the problems reported here. Please let us know if that's the case!
