Ouch! Sorry about that! :-(

What webcam are you using? Are you using the latest drivers for it? Can you please also let us know some more info about your hardware and software setup? (OS, version, webcam, etc..)

We had some reports of blue screen, maybe your problem is related to that.

Did you have a look at this thread? http://www.d-touch.org/forum/thread/10/

Thanks!

I use Windows XP and my camera is Logitech E2500. I think that's the problem I have read the probelma of the blue screen, and I tried the solutions you offer, but it always happens that the computer restarts suddenly. Does not occur if I not select the camera.

Thanks for the update and sorry you are still having the problem.

Is there any chance that you could borrow a different camera (webcam, or DV camera) that you can connect to the same computer and try again? If you can and let us know what happens, that would be very helpful for us to fix the system.

I tried with another webcam, and although at first the program runs, the computer freezes again. I will stop trying the program until you have another version that works and does not harm my computer

Hello.

We just released version 0.3 of the drum machine. (on the download page)

You can now select which webcam to use from the configurator. This may solve some of the problems reported here. Please let us know if that's the case!

Hello Daddyboy.

Thanks for trying the instruments! To the best of our knowledge this is a problem related to the webcam and its driver. If you can please try another webcam, or a firewire camera (e.g. DV camera) and let us know if it works.

Sorry we cannot provide more help than this, but we are not able to re-produce the problem.

sigh, first beta software to kill my computer

i have a logitech quickcam for notebooks, runs fine with the logitech software windows vista home premium

configuration works fine for me when i run the sequencer, several windows with a black background (looks like a console window) then my screen is filled with multi colored bars before i get a blue screen filled with text saying that windows has crashed

so sad

froxenflame,

sorry about that. Indeed so sad!

Did you try to install the latest webcam drivers? Or, again, if you have a chance to borrow a different model camera we would like to know if hte problem is solved.

BTW the console windows are supposed to be there.

Maybe BlueScreenView[1] can help to understand the problem.
