Am I the only person who can't get this to work at all? It looks like i'm setup ok, but I never hear sound and there is never any indication that the program is working. I have to windows, one for my webcam (highlighting the four corners and sound blocks) and one with a list of command options. None of them appear to 'Start' the program, is there a quick start/setup guide out there? I eagerly await your reply. Thanks, Shanabus |

I'd love to try the sequencer.. currently do a lot with reactivision feeding midi into ableton live and I think sequencer might do something similar. How do I get my habds on an early version? thanks! Patrick |

impressed by the video not impressed by the software it doesnt work i dont know how it does on your machine but i have tried it on three machines and havent gotten the application to even open and from what i've heard that seems to be the easiest of the countless bugs to fix |

Thanks for the D-touch, it works great, would love to use it on stage, any change of getting midi out signal instead of drum sounds? |

New PC version .3.2 works great thanks, had problems with 0.2, kept crashing on me. |

Guys, d-touch is a good idea, but appears to be a total disapointment for me, it's not suitable for making sth serious, it's just a shorttime toy because: 1) can't send midi 2) can't even load custom samples 3) requiers internet connection sure, I know that all these limits are made for further commercializin' but that's sad, sorry for being so straight :( |

Hi Mjemmuls Thanks for your feedback! Believe it or not, but the issues that you mention are not really a matter of commercialization opportunities for us. We would love to add proper support to load custom samples, but we simply don't have the man/hours to do that yet -- it's on our to-do list. Similar for midi, even though I have to say I do not fully understand how people would that: could you please describe what you would do with it? In other words, what kind of midi signals you think would be useful to emit? Is it just the note-on/note-off for each sample that gets triggered? Or is it a matter of synchronization? (like sending the loop start) Would you connect to other midi applications running on the computer or would you connect to actual external instruments? Why is the internet connection a problem? We assumed that if you download d-touch you have internet access.. Finally, I assume you are referring to the drum machine, did you try out the sequencer? In the sequencer you can record your own samples. In fact in the seqeuncer, even though not fully officially supported you can even change the sounds directly: there is a sounds folder where the wave files get recorded so you can technically modify those directly. I say it's not officially supported yet (and that's why we are not advertising the feature) because we are planning to make a GUI interface to let people change the samples.. also the format we are using is a bit unusual, so if you give that a try please look at one of the existing files and make yours in the same format. How do others feel about the same issues? I'd like to open the floor. Your opinion matters to us! That's our research, that's our job! |

Hey, Thanks heaps for your awesome software, I rekon 'Mjemmuls' is being a bit harsh. I'd say the midi would be good, but something musicians and producers would want rather than developers, and the custom samples can be loaded in the Seq, but the midi thing for the drum would fix that too. And i'd say you have to be on the net because the software cost $0. If I paid for it, I'd like a version that would run without the net, but otherwise I say Thankyou :) Midi wise two things would be good, 1. Midi out signal (internally routable to other sample or sequencr program eg. Reason, or to a hardware midi out port to send to a sampler). (I use LoopBe to internally route midi from program to program or to use playstation controllers as midi controllers for example) Midi note on and note off, and note velocity based on the double or single hit and maybe a mid velocity one too?
For me I use Pro tools & Reason to sequence and run samples on the PC and outboard wise a Korg ESX and EMX(Sequencers), Roland SP808 (sampler). The best thing for me would be able to run the d-touch with Pro Tools and Reason (Reason re-wires audio into Pro Tools) and be able to have the drum machine triggering samples through Pro Tools (an internal midi port from d-touch comming up in Pro Tools) and D-touch having a button that either selects manual bpm (with a tempo slider or box) or receive sync externally (from Pro Tools or Reason, can send MTC or Midi clock out any port from inside pro tools settings menu) (same can be done from Reason and may be easier to test and setup with Reason than Pro Tools) I Could probably live without the Midi Sync if there was a BPM selector in the D-touch program in the video window, I could at least run the drums from this and play the other parts live over the top. :) Thanks again Guy www.serotoninproductions.com.au www.thoughtcoercion.org |
