I work with special needs youngsters and was hoping I could use the D-Touch drum machine with them. Sadly I have fallen at the first fence as the configurator tells me "Authentication impossible, network" I have no choice other than to use the School's network :( Is there anything that I can do to work around this network issue?

can you explain better your setup? mac or win? Have you tried to redownload? We have published the 0.2 version.

If you are on mac copy the entire folder to you pc from the package.

windows xp sp2 on a network using a proxy server. Have just tried v0.2 and srill get the same message in the activation tab of the configurator: "Authentication impossible, network"

Currently it is unfortunately not possible to use the drum-machine without an internet connection. We are working on ways to make offline use compatible with our research, but finding a solution make take a while.

Having said that, for specific uses such as performances or for educational purposes, we would be happy to find ad-hoc arrangements.

Could you please contact us by email (info at d-touch.org) giving us more details of what you would like to do, including where and when?

We just released version 0.3 of the drum machine with a number of bugfixes. You can find it on the download page.

It has improved activation interface. This may solve some of the problems reported here. Please let us know if that's the case!
